Suggestion # 12 On Bible Study
Suggestion
# 12 On Studying The Bible: My father was a carpenter and
had many tools. I was always fascinated by his tools. He had drills,
saws, hammers, screw drivers, nails, screws, measuring tapes, etc.
These were necessary for him to do his job and do it well. The same is
true in regard to the study of the Bible. It is work. "Be warned, my
son, of anything in addition to them. Of making many books there is no
end, and much study wearies the body." (Eccl. 12:12). I have been so
tired and hungry after hours and hours of detailed study. The Bible
teaches, "Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that
needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth." (2 Tim.
2:15). Notice, that one is a worker who should do his/her work well
and not to be ashamed of such. Do your work well in the study of the
Bible. Other books in this life that you read and study are to make
money at a job, information, or entertainment. But, your study of the
Bible is not only to live a better life here but to find true life in
eternity. That is an awesome task. No other book in the world can
compare to that. Here are tools to consider. This is taken from an
online site that I enjoy. Today, we are blessed with nearly unlimited
online resources. www.Biblestudytools.com
