Herein is a powerful truth! Humans can be deceived. Others can deceive us and we can deceive ourselves. Incorrect information can deceive us into believing things that are just not correct.
Our culture and society can over time deceive us into believing things that are not correct. Television and Hollywood movies send out messages that often are just plain wrong. These messages over time give us a warped sense of reality.
The Bible says, "3And even if our gospel i...s veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing, 4in whose case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving so that they might not see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. 5For we do not preach ourselves but Christ Jesus as Lord, and ourselves as your bond-servants for Jesus' sake.…" (2 Cor. 4:3-5).
