FAITH IS THE VICTORY!
Do you have faith? People hate change. But change is always coming. Most changes are just fine and are of no real eternal consequence. Sometimes changes are great and it means more souls are saved and God is glorified. Some changes are corrupting the Word of God and need to be halted.
However, in all things, I ask, WHERE IS YOUR FAITH? Do not despair, do not give up, do not quit, do not forsake God. Do not gossip and slander and be filled with hate and ugliness. Have faith.
Have faith in yourself. Have faith in your bothers and sisters in Christ. Above all, have faith in God!
All growth is painful, it seems. The church must evangelize and work and serve and expand. Never be satisfied with the status quo, always expand and reach outward. Churches of Christ tend to be territorial and inward these days. This is not good. We need to be positive, aggressive with the Gospel, loving towards all, and above all, to build up the church to the glory of God. I have served as a gospel preacher for many years and I love gospel preachers. However, the church does not exist to give preachers a pay check. Preachers exist to glorify God and serve God and humanity. Our task is to save souls and give glory to God.
We need faith. With faith we can do great things. Great things. We stumble and fall and fail because we lack faith. Where is your faith?
"for everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith." (I Jn. 5:4)
"He replied, "Because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you." (Matthew 17:20)
