Suggestion # 2 On Studying The Bible: Study the Bible seriously. Do not use the Bible to find verses to prove what you already believe. Study the Bible in its context. Define the words properly. Seek to understand what was being said to the first readers of the various books. Then, draw only those conclusions from such study that is warranted by the evidence. Too many today are using the Bible to prove this and that which is nothing but silly opinions , and that is a great abuse of the Scriptures. Let the Bible Speak and relax and open your heart to what God is REALLY SAYING.
