Happy July 4th America!

As we think of this July 4th, 2013, we remember another 4th, 1776. The dangers that were so widespread at that moment. The future of America was held in the balance. The outcome of the war was far from certain. The Continental Army faced the greatest Army on earth, The British. If they lost all would be hanged as traitors and all property and assets confiscated by the Crown. The summer of 1776 was long and hot. Across the 13 Colonies Americans prayed and prayed for freedom. Many would die. Many would suffer injuries that they would live with the rest of their lives. Medical care was crude to say the least. Many would see their homes and property destroyed and no government bail out. They would do all this and endure all this, for the love of their Country. They sacrificed, bled, and died that you and I might be free today and have this beloved Nation. We should thank them today, remember them, and cherish their memory. Today, America stands in the crossroads. Will we be a Nation with a future or will we perish from the earth? The answer to that question is in God's hands. We as a people have greatly offended the Almighty. I pray that He will continue to have mercy. However, there is an end to His mercy and judgment will come as it always has. There are consequences for individual actions and national actions. God is just in all His dealings and Holds America's fate in His hands. Let us pray today for America and pray for godliness to be restored to our Nation. God bless the United States of America.
